Christmas Cards

Here are my newest Christmas cards. Some of them involved heat-embossing, creating a raised textured snowmen. I added glitters to the embossed powder so that there are some sparkling effect to it. I also machine-stitched to add details.

They come in a pack of 3 and 4, $7.50 and $10.00 respectively. Handmade and yet affordable.

A Baby Accordion Album

For a while I've been meaning to try to make an accordion album, but it never happened as there have always been other paper crafts that 'prevent' me for making one. You know, when you have so many ideas that you want to try out, you tend to make one over and over again with a little tweak here and there and somehow the other thing on your must-to-try-out-list is kind of slip away.

According to Chinese calendar, last Sunday was my mom-in-law's birthday. That morning my husband informed me that we're going out for dinner that night to celebrate her birthday. A birthday card, is that suffice? I could not get out to buy her present. It's too last minute.

I then had a great idea. An album of Ethan, her first grandchild, will put a smile in her face. But I don't have an album to start with, plus to fill a whole album will take more than a day. So, an accordion album came to mind. And here it is:

I only had hours to finish it. Stressful? Yes, somewhat. I was happy with the result though I probably could do better if I have more time. But to see my mom-in-law's smile when she opened the album...PRICELESS. I'm sure it made her day.

Funny thing, the next morning, she told me that my dad-in-law wanted to borrow the album to show it off at his workplace. She said no and asked him to get one from me. Eekk! That will have to wait. I'm still working on Ethan's scrapbook album(s) on top of christmas cards that I have make and list real soon at my AdoreByNat store.

Featuring fellow Etsian sellers - episode 2 - Indidi

This time I'm featuring my new Etsy friend from Tasmania, Australia, Indidi.

We met through my NatSupplies as she purchased bar pins for her brooches.

These are her collection of brooches. She sold one right away after she listed a few. No wonders, eh? They are simply adorable and cute! These brooches are hand-sewn and made from very good quality of felts. Unique and original.

Indidi also have other accessories such as pendants and earrings and they are also beautifully made. Her pictures are so clear presenting her artworks.

And if you purchase from her store, rest assured that your order will be nicely wrapped and packaged. They look like as a gift. Give a gift to yourself. After all you deserve it!

Oh, I almost forget to mention that Indidi is a very sweet gal. It's my pleasure knowing her.

Featuring fellow Etsian sellers - episode 1 - Skylar's Candy Clips

It's been over a month since my NatSupplies ETSY store opens. My Grand Opening promotion was successful.
An interesting note I may add, unlike my AdoreByNat store, most of my NatSupplies customers are not from United States. Instead, they are from United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, and Netherlands, just to name a few. I really go global! Love it!

Some of these customers are actually Etsy sellers themselves. It makes me curious to see what arts and crafts they make using these crafting supplies. That's why I have decided to feature them.

My first buyer: Skylar's Candy Clips. , not only that she is a sweet lady, but she also makes beautiful hairclips and other hair accessories. Visit her store. Find out how she came up with her store name and enjoy browsing her hair accessories collection.

Please don't forget to grab one (or more) set of those hair clips. They even can be personalized as you wish.

My Tea Bag Holders Sold Out

Oh my goodness!! I listed 4 sets of tea bag holders in my AdoreByNat ETSY Store recently (last one today) and they are sold out! All of them at once! **I do a happy dance over here** I started make an experiment on these tea bag holders around the end of August (read my blog entry on August 31, 2008) and honestly, I was anxious whether people are interested in them or not. I searched Etsy and did not find anything similar to this.

After I listed the first two, they were hearted. That's a good response. At least I'm not the only one who thinks that the tea bag holders are adorable. At least there are other people who think they are nice. Now, I'd better make more of them and list them tomorrow. If only I have more time on my hands, I would make tons of them. Let more people enjoy these little goodies :-)

More Tea Bag Holders

I made more of tea bag holders for the past 2 days. Just these 3 sets? Well, that's all I could do among doing other stuff. Anyhow, I just love how they turned out using such beautiful patterned papers. Fall is just around the corner. Have a sip after working hard on racking those fallen leaves. Enjoy your afternoon tea, with a friend (or two). Perhaps, you'd rather be by yourself, sitting on your front porch, enjoying the afternoon with a cup of tea. I think you get the idea. :-)

I pack them in a clear plastic bag. Pretty neat, eh! Just add a ribbon once it sold out to a happy customer. Now, I'd better drink my tea :-)

No Internet = Busy Cardmaking

Today, my internet was down for almost the whole day. Arrgrr! I was unable to get on Etsy, not until around 4 pm. Once it's on, first things first, check both of my Etsy stores: Adorebynat and Natsupplies. Check if there is any convos, any new hearts and any sales. Sold 2 items in my supply store, Yei!

Below are some cards and tea bag holders that I made today. These tea bag holders will go with some of my orders. I'll include them to bigger orders, while for a smaller orders will get candies. When packing, I have to watch for the weight too, making sure I don't go over the limit. It's my priority to get them well-packaged.

Once finish this blog of the day, I'm off to do some listings. And tonight, I'm going for a dinner with my hubby. We haven't done this for awhile. Nothing fancy. It's just in the Mall. We have to buy dog food for Mocha and be home by 9pm for Ethan's bedtime. Ethan will stay with my in-laws while we're gone :-)
