Truly Sweet Butterfly Card

I made this a couple of days ago. It started with the idea of using this butterfly applique that I'm selling on my natsupplies shop. I haven't listed it yet but they should be available in the shop within a day or two. If you love it and want it sooner, please simply contact me :-)

Anyhow, isn't it adorable? Since I just love how it turns out, I may make a few more. Of course it has to wait. I'm starting with my packing right now and no more cardmaking sadly (though I managed to do it here and there). But as much as I want to do it, it should be on the bottom of my to-do-list. Seriously, I gotta concentrate with my packing. It's only a week left and we will fly to Canada.

A Clock According to 18 Mos Boy

Ethan can say 'Clock'. He really can!

He says that when he sees a 'clock.'

And BIG Clock like this.

And I thought he really understand what clock really is until he he saw these and said:

Clock!

Oh my little boy! :-) At least you see that there is something similar on those things.

Brothers Forever

I'm counting days. 15 more days and I'll be leaving Indonesia to be reunited with my DH who is waiting for us in Toronto. While I can't wait to see him, it's a bit hard for me not to cry and think that I have to leave Mocha for now (or ever, we don't know yet though we really want to bring him back to Canada). If only life is much steadier for us now. But it's not the case in reality as we are trying to restart our life in Canada.

We considered Mocha as our first son and always refers as 'big brother mo-mo' to Ethan. For the past week, I've been taking pictures of them together. Oh yeah, and filming them as well. Naughty Ethan loves to tease his big brother now. He throw balls for Mocha to catch and play hide and seek with him. And once Ethan gets to his nerve, Mocha will 'fight back' by continuously licking Ethan and push his body to Ethan's leaving Ethan powerless. Poor Ethan then is in trouble. ;-)

This is a picture that we took on Christmas day, 2007 in our downtown apartment, Vancouver, Canada. Ethan was only over a month old.

Here is a picture that I took 3 days ago. Ethan will be 18 months in a couple of days.

He may be a dog to most people, but to my husband and I, he is a son of us, a part of our family. It's not going to be a perfect family 'till he reunite with us.

Too Adorable

From today's title post, you know I like to brag about my cards. LOL. But honestly, I just love how these cards turned out. Fun and wonderful!

I also made two birthday cards.

Featured on Cuteable

My bird card has been featured on Cuteable today's post. Believe me, there are so many cute handmade stuff on Swirlyarts blog site and yet I still can't get enough of them. Don't forget to check out her Etsy shop too. Too many cute chickens out there that you'll be hardly to resist. :-)

140 Bookmarks

A few days I blogged about this custom order that I have to complete. Read here. Now they are completed! Honestly, I'm more pleased with the result than what I would have expected when they were in a design stage. I hope my client feels the same way.

Details are involved in a subtle way. The machine stitching, ball chain, eyelet, rhinestone, and shimmery gold-edge ribbons are all added to create an elegant bookmark.

Beautiful bookmarks made with metallic treasure gold, lithos brown, and missed silvery cardstocks and patterned papers chosen by my wonderful client. She is just so great to work with.

I worked on these on wee hours, talking to my DH on skype (thanks to today's technology), accompanied me on the other side of the world so I did not have to feel so lonely at night.

I just have to share the finished products with him through here as he won't be able to see them in person.

I Love Custom Order!

If you visit my Adore By Nat shop, you'll notice that I don't list as frequent as I used to. I'm currently occupied with this custom order.

Can you tell what I'm making?

Bookmarks!

They are just bit and pieces right now. I finish cutting all papers to the right measurement and currently in the sewing stage.

My sewing machine is quite small and it's one of the tools that I cannot live without. It's starting to lose its strength, mind you it has sewn hundreds and hundreds of papers. Pretty powerful for a small machine and I highly recommend it for crafting. In fact, I bought one for my girlfriend at work. But it's time for me to move to the next level. I want to have a REAL sewing machine, one that can sew zig-zag.

Can you imagine what will these bookmarks look like when finished? Stay tuned for my next post on the finishing result!

Now, would you please excuse me. I have some sewing to do.

Sweet Dress for a Sweet Girl

I couldn't help myself but to side-tracked a bit today. I was in absence of making card yesterday, so today I just couldn't help. Although I promised myself to focus on custom order, I thought, a quick one or two cards wouldn't hurt . . . and I need to make them quick while it's still bright. I find it's a must to have natural light when taking pictures.

I remembered that I had this cute embellishment set for a girl that I bought before I had Ethan. The fact that I have a boy instead of a girl means that I don't have to keep these embellishments of scrapbooking.

I just listed the card in my Adore By Nat shop. Feel free to grab it. This is the only one I have.

Bridal Tea Party

Here is a set of 12 teabag holders for a bridal tea party. It's a custom order that I quickly made in between of my big orders. Aren't they pretty?

They are actually not the ones that my client ordered originally. I embarrassed to say, but I was planning to work on her teabag holders late at night, thought that I need to do it as I don't have much time before my departure to Canada. In combination of being tired and the wee hours, I made a terrible mistake. I cut the paper a half inch short and it was the last paper I had. Oops!

So I went back to her and asked her to choose a different design of patterned paper. She chose this gorgeous paper by Chatterbox, one of my old time favorites of paper product lines. I simply love their designs: clean and sleek.

I surely hope that my client loves these teabag holders.

They will go on the mail on Tuesday.

The Almost Finished Custom Order

So here is what has been making me busy (among other things, of course), making sweet pink favors with adorable dress for a sweet client in Greece.

Here are a few snapshots I took while working on them.

Cutting each paper and ribbon out . . .

Working on wee hours . . .

A big pile of adorable dress in scalloped circles . . .

Assembling them . . .

And the almost finished favor . . .

Why the almost finished custom order? Well, firstly because they will be sent flat as in the picture, ready to be tied on. They will need be filled in first with jordan almonds, a part of Greek tradition, which will be done once they arrive in the destination. Secondly, because this sweet lady is too sweet that she can't get enough of them. *bragging* LOL. She asked for 10 more favors to be added to her order.

How does the favor really look like? Go look here.
