Port Moody Craft Fair

I'm crazy busy preparing for the fair that is going to be held on this upcoming Sunday, November 1st. The Tri-City News writes an article in it which is a GREAT publicity for us.

The story on how this fair started is quite interesting. See, my parents introduced me to their message therapist while I stayed at their place in Port Coquitlam, BC. My dad told her that I make cards. During some treatment sessions, we talked about crafts. She herself is crafty but she doesn't have time to really doing it between her work and taking care of her toddler, who is only 2 days older than Ethan. She then said that what about having a craft fair at her house, at least that's the first step for her getting anything crafty.

Long story short, I managed to get 2 etsian sellers to join the fair and these ladies managed to get their friends to join as well. The more the merrier!

Here are some paper goodies that I'll be bringing. There are more in work now.

So if you're in the area, please come by. We'd love to see ya! Details can be found here.

Settling Down

I can't believe that we're at the end of October already. Soon, there'll be December and that means Christmas is approaching. Phew, time flies too soon indeed.

We're slowly settling down in our new place, got TV and internet installed 2 days ago. Our place is not big but we do feel cozy, which is more important in my opinion.

Good things that we kept most of our belongings before we left to Indonesia in early 2008. Some were sold and given away. At the end we only had to purchase a few. Since this for sure NOT the final moving, we'd rather not buying more stuff unless it's necessary (of course my supplies is an exception!). Lol.

But moving is VERY stressful and we move a lot. *sigh*... at least for now.

And here is my little nook, located in the corner of my bedroom. The table will be a bit bigger once we put glass on top of it, which we need to pick it up at my parents' place this weekend.

I can't get enough of snowman, by the way. This one is one of my favorites and available at my shop.

When Purple Met Green

Aren't they just gorgeous? bright and cheerful.

Purple and green cardstocks are used inpired by the green and purple floral and stripe patterned papers. Stitching and different kind of embellishments added for perfection.

Really, when you could buy a handmade card for less than $4, why bother buying the mass produced ones?

Four Birthday Cards for your special ones. Visit my shop for more details.

Dare I Share?

My workspace is a Nightmare!! I've been busy with wholesale orders on top getting ready for the holidays. And as more different cardstocks and patterned papers being cut and used and more supplies I've purchased lately (can't resist good deals!!), more little scrap papers invade my table.

Did you see the table by the way? It's buried. I sometimes get frustrated trying to find something I need to use and waste 15 minutes of my precious time. You must wonder where do I actually lay and assemble my cards. Lol.

There I shared it! Being unorganized is not something I'm proud of but occasionaly chaos happens **run hiding** :-)

Now, do you dare to show yours?

PS: I'm not really planning to re-organize my workspace since I need to pack them up anyway real soon. We're moving (again) on the 15th. Will update you more on this on next post.

Down at the States

We made another trip to Bellingham, WA yesterday.

First stop just after crossing the border was the Edaleen's dairy store. Main reason is to go to their washroom *blushing* as I couldn't hold it until we'll get to Bellingham, our main destination. But we bought a bottle of strawberry milk which Ethan LOVED so much. We intended to buy more dairies on the way back, just to ensure their freshness. Their ice creams are SO GOOD and reasonably priced, and you can't beat their FRESHNESS.

2nd stop was to this scrapbooking store that I LOVED to visit everytime I'm down at the States. The bad news is that they're closing their door for good this Saturday. :-(

The good news is that everything is on sale for 50% off. Some stuff are even 70% off. Believe it or not, I was there 2 weeks ago when they started with 20% off. When my parents said they're going this week, I could not resist to not tag along.

Ethan seemed to have a good time himself. I think it's really a good idea for them making these play area available allowing moms do their shopping without little ones nagging.

And here what I bought: tons of cardstocks and a stack of patterned papers. Who could resist them?

And some stamps and stickers.

We, of course, got hungry. Afterall it's noon already. An hour and a half spent at scrapbooking store, boy....time flied.

Next stop is IHOP.

Once we're recharged, it's time to go back shopping: ROSS. But before then, I got to go postal office to mail my wholesale order package to Singapore. If you're curious, yes, it's actually cheaper to mail from the States than from Canada. It's worth the cost only if I have other stuff to do, otherwise the time and gas spent would not make it worthwhile.

Last trip before heading to Canada is Walmart. Ethan is trying out a bike. My parents wanted to buy one for his 2nd birthday. It's just too bad that this bike is not the right one for him, perhaps if he's three.

Because I was too exhausted at the end of the day, no cardmaking last night. I dozed off as I put Ethan to bed.

Working on Wholesale Order

I've been MIA for the past week, I apologize. I know I'm not so good with keeping blog up-to-date. I try, though, but that's not an excuse. :-P

The past weeks had been crazy busy for me. My wholesale client wanted to re-order. Yei!! It also meant that I had to stay up late and wake up very early on most days.

My 22 mos son didn't make it easier for me. He got up and found me whenever I wasn't in bed (we still share bed and I have the him-sleeping-on-his-own-room on my list but there are other stuff that takes more priority at the moment). Once I tried to wake up at 4am and snuck out of bedroom and less than half an hour . . . there he was, looking at me from upstairs and called "mama". Lights were off and I headed to upstair to continue my sleep.

Aaaanyway, 100 cards were picked as wholesale order and will be sent this week to Nelson, BC. I just need to go to the post office tomorrow to get a quote on the shipping cost. As holiday season is approaching, Christmas cards are requested.

Here are some of my Christmas cards. All are sold out.
